03 November 2010, Wednesday Interview with Mikhail Fridman Executive Chairman of TNK-BP Board of Directors, Kommersant: BP announced in a report yesterday that it has received $1 bn from TNK-BP for assets in Venezuela and Vietnam. The total cost of the deal is $1.8 bn, with the remaining funds to be paid after it has been closed in the first half of 2011. In Venezuela, TNK-BP is buying interests in oil assets, while in Vietnam the acquisitions are in infrastructure projects and the gas sector.

The convention was necessary to inform our contractors about the new working practices and to hear our partners’ concerns. TNK-BP’s Executive Vice President Anatoly Tyomkin told KP’s correspondent why it is important to give each contractor and supplier the opportunity to communicate directly with company management.
