Associated gas utilization

Utilization of associated petroleum gas is an important strategic aspect of TNK-BP’s goal to reduce atmospheric emissions and of compliance with the company’s license commitments. TNK-BP continues to implement its programs to raise associated petroleum gas utilization rate in all regions where the company is active. Our associated petroleum gas utilization rateamounted to 84.4% in 2009. From 2008 to 2009 associated petroleum gas production grew 4.8% to 13.020 billion cubic meters. In the medium term and in view of the current macroeconomic situation, TNK-BP is committed to continuing its efforts to gradually increase its of associated petroleum gas utilization rate.
